Abengoa Brasil becomes Shareholder of Damp Electric
Abengoa Brasil formalized with Comercial Mineira (Comisa), a subsidiary of Grupo BMG, the acquisition of up to 50,01% of the capital shares of Damp Electric, one of the leading engineering companies in the production of metallic structures in the Brazilian market, within 3 years.
The operation, subject to a range of preceding conditions, establish the union between Abengoa Brasil, one of the most important private operators in the electric power transmission sector in Brazil, and BMG, one of the most prominent companies in the state of Minas Gerais, acting in the most different sectors, such as in the financial – where it is one of the leading companies in its country -, industry and real estate sectors.
Damp Electric, a subsidiary of Grupo BMG, acts since 2006 in the production of power electrical energy transmission towers, with an installed capacity of 30,000 tons per year.
